He played on the year 9 team at Bottisham. When he showed up for the first time, the coach asked him what positioned he played. Being that we knew nothing about Rugby, he couldn't answer the question. Guess where the kids that can't answer that question
end up. You guessed it, the sideline. He did get in the match late in the game. The next match, Marshall started to see some playing time. By the third match, he was in for basically the whole game. He even did one of those American style football tackles that the coach deemed
the hit of the match. The coach talked about it afterwards in the huddle and commented on how well Marshall was doing when he had never played rugby before.

Marshall is the one in the middle of the picture on the right, catching the pitch from the kid that is now on the ground. In the picture on the left, he just pitched the ball out. Overall, it was a great season. They were undefeated for the regular season and came in third place in what was basically like a regional tournament. We can now hang up the rugby
boots and we head into basketball. It will be interesting to see what happens next....

The last picture shows how much we need our 70-300 mm lens that is probably in storage somewhere. If your eyes are not too tired, you can see Marshall on a breakaway in the middle of the screen.
